Tips When Letting Your Pet Wear A Costume

If you are a pet owner who is keen on dressing up your pet in a variety of costumes, remember that your pet’s safety and comfort must come first before anything else.

Below are some tips that you can follow when dressing up your pet:

●Make sure that your pet has an ID or name tag on him all the time. During an event where there are lots of people and everyone’s busy, it is easy for your pet to get lost. If he has an ID or name tag, at least he can be easily identified by whoever finds him.

●Never let your pet wear anything that is too tight, too loose, or is just not tailor fit for him. This will make your pet feel uncomfortable and puts him at risk of difficulty in breathing, choking, and may agitate him.

Check for tiny trinkets, accessories, or designs that might be a choking hazard. Your pet may bite, nibble, or swallow these little items which can cause choking, which can be fatal.

A sudden change in your pet’s behavior should warrant a call to your animal hospital Aurora, CO.
