Can Adult Cats Become Bonded Pairs?

Updated: Nov 7, 2022

Cat bonding most often happens between kittens or cats that were raised together. It happens when both kittens grow up and spend time together from birth or younger age in the same litter. However, this does not mean that older cats can't bond together.

Just like having friends, older cats can still bond together, although it may just take some time. It is more likely to happen in a home or shelter where they spend to get to spend more time with each other.

Once two cats develop a strong bond, they will be dependent on each other and they'll spend the majority of their time together, and it is guaranteed to last a lifetime. They usually show their affection by grooming each other, playing, sleeping, and lounging together and this bond will surely give a feeling of comfort to both of them.

A sudden change in your pet’s health and/or behavior should warrant a visit to your pet clinic Wheat Ridge, CO.
